Gli Stati Uniti sono destinati a perdere la guerra ibrida contro la Russia. Queste sono le dichiarazioni di Peskov nel corso di un'intervista rilasciata alla tv russa. Secondo il portavoce del Cremlino, Washington sarebbe colpevole di aver sfruttato il sentimento ucraino provocando migliaia di morti negli ultimi due anni di conflitto. Un biennio in cui le tensioni tra Kyiv e Mosca sono aumentate dopo lo sconfinamento russo in Donbass.
Gli statunitensi prima armano gli ucraini e poi gli dicono di andare e morire questa ha detto Peskov nel corso dell'intervista rilasciata oggi. "Non preoccuparti, ti daremo abbastanza soldi e abbastanza armi, ma devi andare e morire. E sai benissimo che non possono vincere, ha concluso. Inoltre, il portavoce del Cremlino ha affermato che anche se il sostegno occidentale continuerà, l'Ucraina non sarà mai in grado di eguagliare il potenziale militare ed economico della Russia e questo renderebbe inutile la resistenza. Qualche giorno fa Zelensky ha dichiarato che la guerra contro Putin è un conflitto che dovrebbe interessare anche l'Europa in quanto minaccia alla libertà di tutti i popoli.
Nessuna fiducia in Washington nemmeno se dovesse tornare Trump alla Casa Bianca. Peskov ha anche messo in dubbio la dichiarazione dell'ex presidente degli Stati Uniti sulla sua disponibilità a "porre fine alla guerra in un giorno". Per Peskov si tratterebbe di una promessa elettorale irrealizzabile.
